In his 5 Polydynamic Pieces, Ponc shows his interest in mathematic calculations in music. Every movement is based on changes in horizontal and vertical combinations of one single series of notes.
He uses the most extensive scale of dynamics, up to Listzt's 'estinto' (hardly audible).
Every instrument has its own dynamics.
